The End5 books in 21 hours!I didn't quite make it! 21 hours of reading happened this weekend, and it was amazing. I may not have made it to the 24 hours I was hoping for, but I was still able to ramp up my reading again since I've been in a kind-of slump for the last month and a half. This weekend I was able to finish the 3 books I was in the middle of when we started, as well as finishing another 2!! If a weekend like that doesn't get me closer to my *new* goal of 70 books by the end of the year, I don't know what will! So the books I finished include:
I also attempted to do a vlog of my experience this weekend. I'm not exactly sure how that went, so we will see in a couple of days when I get around to pulling the clips together and editing it! When I get it done, I will link to it here! July 20 - 4:15 pm (CST) - Hour SeventeenMini freak out coming your way...Hour seventeen and I have a total of six hours and seventeen minutes of reading done so far. I really need to get on this, or I won't be able to finish! It looks like it'll be another semi-late night tonight to see how much reading I can get in! Part of the problem is that I have to lead worship at church tomorrow, so those 4 hours plus sleeping time, I need to pretty much be reading during every chance I get to make the 24 hours I need. I've "wasted" almost half of my 24 idle hours already! Ahh! Okay, now that that's over, time for an update. So, I have been able to finish the three books that I was in the middle of when we started late last night: My Hero Academia, Vol. 2, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight have all been completed. I also was able to take a quick (but very nice) walk to the library to pick up the next My Hero Academia installment as well as Thunderhead, the second book in Neil Shusterman's Arc of the Scythe series. My plan now is to start Scythe and read that for at least an hour, and then I will move on to an audiobook again so I can do some meal prep/planning and clean a room of the apartment (we will see what I have ambition to do...). I hope your weekend is going as well as mine so far! July 20 - 1:45 AM (CST) - Hour TwoIt's bedtime! I've gotten just short of 2 hours of reading in so far. I finished My Hero Academia, Volume 2 in the first half hour. I also made it 125 pages in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban tonight. But it is getting late, and I'm not used to being up so long. I'm going to have to get ready for bed, maybe read just a little bit more, and give myself a break. I'll see all you lovelies in the morning! July 19 - 11:00 PM (CST) - Hour zeroIt's that time of year again! This time during #24in28, I actually can participate fully instead of feeling bad not spending time with Corgan like last time! He has to work both tomorrow and Sunday. So, I've got my snacks, books, audiobooks, and reading spot ready!! I drank some coffee and ate some chocolate to help give me energy and stay up a bit later than normal and do some reading before getting to sleep. So, I decided that along with blogging this weekend, I will try to vlog my experience as well!! I'm not going to start a Booktube channel or anything. Just make a few short, fun videos for my blog here in case you'd rather watch my journey than read about it. I'm not going to do vlogs very often, but I figured I start doing some once in a while. We'll see how it goes! My #24in48 TBRSo, I'm in the middle of 3 books right now: a reread, a manga, and an audio book. I'm going to try to finish my reread of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and the manga, My Hero Academia Volume 2, tonight before I go to bed. Then, I have Scythe by Neil Shusterman to start tomorrow, and I've heard from a friend that I need to go pick up the second book in the series tomorrow because I'll want to jump right in after I finish the first one. I also have a few audiobooks ready so that I can do some cleaning and meal prep this weekend while still participating in the readathon. I'm about 1/3 of the way through The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith, so I'll finish that tomorrow, probably. Then I got Ellen Degeneres' autobiography, Seriously...I'm Kidding, to move onto when I finish Smith's book. And then, just in case I need more listening materials, I also rented The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri. If you want to join, it's not too late. Sign up, grab a book, and join us!!
